One of the hardest things for me to accomplish (in any diet I've ever started) is exercise. Reasons being; I'm to busy with the kids, running around to much during the day, or wait until it's to late in the day (and I'm just exhausted). Well, I think it's about time that I just quit with the excuses. Both Adam and I have noticed, that we can come up with countless amounts of them. After all, eating right is only part of the equation right?
One other problem I'm having is controlling my sodium content. I've noticed it's really high, even after trying to cut down on it. So, what do you guys do to cut down on your sodium intake? Tips anyone?
I don't pay too much attention to my sodium but I cook from scratch so it's really easy to control the salt. I also find that adding a few grinds of a nice, good quality salt is better than adding a lot of plain table salt. You'll find that all these different salts have their own flavor profile and you'll end up using them sparingly rather than over salting with the table salt. Hope that helps. Oh and yes, you're right about the excuses. I was just talking to a friend this morning about how the excuses can pile up.
ReplyDeleteYeah, I really need to work on cutting down my salt, etc. I went and got some Mrs. Dash to help with my need for flavor. I'm not going to use it ALL of the time, and hope hopefully it will help me cut down on my sodium intake!
