Hi everyone! It's been a little bit longer than I thought it would be (my bad). But I'm here and ready to start my journey with Visalus!
I'm so excited! I ordered my first round of shakes (shape kit) on 10/28, and they'll be here on Wednesday! I spent so much time debating on weather or not to do this, that waiting a couple of days (for the shipment), makes it seem like FOREVER! I will probably wait until the following Monday (11/7) to start my first 30 days. That will just make it easier for me to track everything on my calendar! Yay! I'm pumped!
* I'm not an associate, promoter, etc. I'm just a woman giving Visalus a shot!

90 Day Challenge
So, I know I mentioned it in the last post, but I have made the decision to try the ViSalus 90 day challenge. I have not yet ordered my products, but I will most likely do that within the next week.....I'm really excited to start my journey! And just to let you know, I'm not an associate, promoter, etc. But I will be blogging about my experiences (good & bad) here! I will make sure and let you all know when I get my kit in! Take care, and I will talk to you all soon! : )

Long Time, No See!
First of all; I want to apologize for not posting, in what seems like, FOREVER! I looked back in my blog, and noticed how many "I'm back" posts I have, and really it's quite embarrassing : ( I have to admit, that when I last wrote here I was doing really good on beginning to lose weight. But in between then and now, I've really fallen off the wagon. Not losing any weight, and sinking back into my old ways once more. It frustrates me in a bad way!
Although I feel a bit defeated right now, I have been taking steps to get my confidence back. I started working out with a personal trainer. This is something I never thought I would ever do. But I knew I couldn't do this on my own. Jackie is incredible, and she's taught me SO much about fitness and nutrition. One other thing I'm thinking about doing is the ViSalus 90 day challenge. I have not bought anything, or started the program yet.....but I was wondering if anyone has had any experience with ViSalus products? I'm ready to try something new!
Well, the kiddos are getting crazy here, so I should probably be off! I am really excited to get back into the swing of things, and start enjoying blogging once more! Until we meet again : )

Weekly weigh in #2
Hello! Sorry I'm so late on my weigh in update! We had an inspection on our apt. this week. So last weekend we were running around, in quite the frenzy, trying to clean this place up! Amazingly though, we accomplished the imposible : )
Last Saturday(1/22/11), was my weekly weigh in #2! I weighed in at a total of 215 lbs. And this last weekend I lost: .6 lbs! Coming in at a lovely:
214. 4 lbs!
We shall see what's ahead this weekend, but I think I just might have gained. : ( I'm encouraged by my small victories though, and I definitely need to step up my game here! Until tomorrow ; )

Excuses! Excuses!
One of the hardest things for me to accomplish (in any diet I've ever started) is exercise. Reasons being; I'm to busy with the kids, running around to much during the day, or wait until it's to late in the day (and I'm just exhausted). Well, I think it's about time that I just quit with the excuses. Both Adam and I have noticed, that we can come up with countless amounts of them. After all, eating right is only part of the equation right?
One other problem I'm having is controlling my sodium content. I've noticed it's really high, even after trying to cut down on it. So, what do you guys do to cut down on your sodium intake? Tips anyone?

Weekly weigh in #1
So, I've decided to start making my weigh in once a week (on Saturday). I tend to be one of those obsessive weighers, so I think it's a good idea to stay AWAY from the scale during the rest of the week : )
I weighed myself this morning, and came in at 215 lbs! That's 5 lbs. down from last Nov! Not a lot for some, but for me, I was surprised I had lost any. I was able to lose 1.5 lbs. this week, and it feels amazing! My badges/tickers will be off from each other. My ticker shows the collective loss since last Nov. And the myfitnesspal badge shows my weight loss from this week, as I just started up there again!
So hard work really does pay off!

Why I'm really here
As I put in my last post, both the hubby and I are pretty much starting over on our weight loss challenge. I believe part of it is due to the holidays, and the recent decline in my health. But really I can't excuse the lack of motivation that we both have. That has TONS to do with it. We definitely need all the support and encouragement we can get!
Both Adam and I have both different and similar bad habits. First, we're always out and about. So it seems like fast food has been quite the friend to us. I have avoided that at all cost lately. And when we have to, I try to look up the "healthier" foods before going out. My true weakness seems to be sweets, while Adam's is definitely pizza! We're both terrible at eating portioned dinners. But, I bought smaller plates to help us out with that!
My true goals really, are not only to live a healthier life. But, to be able to run after my 4&6 year old with out feeling winded after a couple of sprints. I want to look sexy. Not only for Adam, but for myself too ; ) I turn 29 in May, and by the time I turn 30 (I know it's awhile, but time goes by fast), I want to feel like myself again. Those are just a few of my goals! I can think of so many more!
So, do any of you have bad habits? And if so, what are they? Also, how do you keep motivated when you feel yourself backsliding?
